The project is a winning design entry in an architectural design competition undertaken in 2004. The design challenge is to have an office tower with 40 storey high that is more proportion to its huge floor plate yet maintaining a specific height due to KLIA aircraft path. The planning are optimizing two halves of the building due to the two ministries. All those 3 towers are strings / rows of plot arranged in a concentric manner surrounding the ‘Dataran Gemilang’, a circular plaza located along the north-south boulevard. The Dataran mark the end of the core island and suggest the climax of Putrajaya city centre.
